Myisha Jackson, LPC-S
Founder and Clinical Director of Healing Journey Counseling Center
I work primarily with teen girls and millennial women that are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, work/career stress, and adjusting to life transitions.
I believe that as women we are taught that we have to be “strong” and make sure everyone around us are taken care of first. We tend to neglect ourselves for our jobs, significant others, child(ren), or parents. Many of us are experiencing burn out and struggling to adjust to life transitions such as becoming a new mom, new career, graduating college, break up, or even losing a loved one.
I also believe that many of our teens struggle with expressing their feelings, managing stress, lack of social skills, and communicating their needs.
At Healing Journey Counseling Center, I help women create healthy relationships with themselves and others. I will point out behaviors and thoughts that could possibly affecting your health journey. I will teach you have to create boundaries and put yourself first without feeling guilty. I educated teens on ways to communicate their feelings and thoughts appropriate and hope to cope with their stress.
